2009 SUMMER BALL - SATURDAY JULY 11th 2009
We are delighted to invite you and your guests to the DK Summer Ball, to be held at DKRFC, Swindon Road, Wall Heath on Saturday 11th July.
In 2009 the theme will be Black and White. Evening dress for the ladies - men should continue with black tie.
Last year’s event was another huge success. As we move forward with this year’s Summer Ball we recognise the state of the economy has changed dramatically since last June, and is impacting us all in many different ways today. With this in mind 2009 will be “The Credit Crunch Ball”.
We again need to ask for your support in terms of bringing as many guests with you as you can. The limit on the function will be approximately 300 this year and it is our intention to sell full tables of 8, 10 or 12 prior to selling individual tickets.
Because of the current economic climate and to try to encourage as many people as possible to join us at this difficult time, the Summer Ball team has worked hard in a number of areas on the member’s behalf to allow us to reduce not increase this year’s ticket price. By extending the use of the marquee and working closely with key suppliers to the Ball we are able to set the ticket price at £41. The format remains unchanged. We really hope this helps to stimulate turnout.
If you wish to purchase a table for this function please complete the attached forms and return them along with your deposit of £20 per person to Kevin behind the DKRFC bar for the attention of Sharon Dowding as soon as possible please.
